1928 Douglas SW5 500cc opposed twin-cylinder Racer

Rare roadster version of the immortal 'dirt track' racing Douglas; the SW5 is a 500cc flat-twin racing machine, with 'Freddie Dixon' 8" brakes, Amac TT carbs, and a race-proven frame.  This machine was formerly in the Harrah's collection in Reno, Nevada, and was found in Alaska, powering a water pump!

The machine is surprisingly complete and rust-free.  The petrol tank is missing, but I have one from another Douglas with all the correct fittings to adapt to a new tank, which is easy as it's a flat-tanker!

Asking $18,000
